After the prototype is done, we patents them to protect and then we send drawing to our suppliers who make metal and plastic molds. We invest money for molds (usually USD50,000 above) and ask them to make 1000pcs for the first order. For lower cost and quick launch, we manage to use existing motors, wheels, tires, brake and other standard parts. Usually, when we get an order, we will start to arrange parts to each of our suppliers and they need about 20-30 days to assemble Motors, battery packs, chargers, frames and packing boxes. They also need to buy materials from their suppliers before assembling. This is a supplychain and every factory is busy as many orders are waiting. When they get an order, they will start to make plans and then assign to different suppliers and then they start to assemble once all parts are ready. That is to say, we need to wait 20-30 days for all parts being produced for us. No matter you order 10pcs or 10,000pcs, this process is the same. We have to wait 20-30 days. None of factories make a lot of parts in advance, especially these years. Because every order is different and customized.
