Production capacity
Production has 2 parts: Preparing parts and Assembling.
Preparing parts: (20--30 days for order 10pcs or 10,000pcs)
Generally speaking, a High-tech Company focus on production development (Design, test, making prototype) and marketing (filming and promotion and set up dealers ). Freego is China High-tech Enterprise. We create a new product from a new idea, concept to make a prototype and then make final design(idea and mechanic ) and use our supply chain to make molds for frames.
After the prototype is done, we patents them to protect and then we send drawing to our suppliers who make metal and plastic molds. We invest money for molds (usually USD50,000 above) and ask them to make 1000pcs for the first order. For lower cost and quick launch, we manage to use existing motors, wheels, tires, brake and other standard parts.
Usually, when we get an order, we will start to arrange parts to each of our suppliers and they need about 20-30 days to assemble Motors, battery packs, chargers, frames and packing boxes. They also need to buy materials from their suppliers before assembling. This is a supply chain and every factory is busy as many orders are waiting. When they get an order, they will start to make plans and then assign to different suppliers and then they start to assemble once all parts are ready. That is to say, we need to wait 20-30 days for all parts being produced for us. No matter you order 10pcs or 10,000pcs, this process is the same. We have to wait 20-30 days. None of factories make a lot of parts in advance, especially these years. Because every order is different and customized.
Freego Assembling: (300 to 1000 scooters per day)
When all parts (Controller, motors, battery packs, chargers, packing boxes) are ready and sent to our factory, we will start to put them into production line for assembling. If we got 3 orders in October, we would arrange the 1st day to 10th day for customer A, and the 11th day to 20th day for customer B, and 21st day to 30th day for customer C. Once we start to assemble, we can not stop because it is automatic line and we pay workers by hours. If we have to stop, we could not finish our production task and we will lose about USD5,000 per day.
Lead time
Usually we can produce 300 to 1000 scooters per day (it depends on parts supply and worker quantity)
If you order 300 scooters from us, we only need 1 day to assemble it. But you still need to wait 20--30 days for the parts So total lead time is 20 + 1 = 21 days.
In order to make everything go smoothly, customers MUST send all requirement before we arrange production of parts. Otherwise we will lose time and money.
